Park Place Dealerships is the new title sponsor of the Dallas Racing cycling team, lending its name now to a strictly two-wheeled venture. The 30-rider team relies on sponsorships to cover the cost of uniforms, entry fees and travel expenses. Dallas Racing will compete in about 80 races this year, many benefiting charitable causes such as Children’s Medical Center. “Naturally, we love cars at Park Place,” said Jorge Merle, a Park Place Lexus Plano technician who rides his bicycle to work every day. “But we also like the idea of raising money for charities, while also promoting cycling, which is very eco-friendly. And we love to race.”
